The Simple Joy of Hope
One day I saw the teardrops of a smile shine brightly
through the fluorescent laughter of a little girl’s eyes. I saw the growth
within her sparkle as she shared her dreams underneath
a limitless sky. I heard her giggle loudly as the winds of promise
tickled her gently. She was just eight years old and has already
experienced so much in this world. Life has threatened to leave her
in the cold since the day she had her innocence
molested at the age of five but she refused to be emotionally
abused and the strength she exhibited inside has kept her soul alive;
no longer does she fear the touch of the hand that tried
to tear the frame of her happiness. She was too young to feel so angry
but in order to heal the pain she had to allow the memory
to remain a scar as a reminder of how far she has come
and how far she can go by opening her voice
because there is always someone out there ready to listen.
No child should have to sit in silence afraid
to show the tears suffered through so many years. No child
should have to experience a nightmare every time they open
their eyes and every child should have the freedom
to be a child and on this day I saw this girl named Hope
living her renewed joy on the playground of inspiration. She was a symbol
of healing and a living angel who took back her innocence
by breaking free and making herself visible for
for the world to see.

A very beautiful and lifting write, turning a negative into a positive! Hope can regenerate one's spirit to places they might not have never reached, belief in their strength, can move the mountains of dispair, place something within which will always lift up and never hurt and put down!
it is a very beautiful piece of writing. it really touched my heart.
Thank you very much isha
This touched me in many ways… I too, took a negative and was very determined to make a postive out of it. At this point in my life, it has made me love the person that I have become.
" a living angel who took back her innocence" – I love this… I have enjoyed reading everything written by you. I also adore the fact that you put pictures that stir my soul with each writing. You have definitely earned another fan by this female
