Briana Rose Lucero Takes You “Beyond This Voice”

December 28, 2010
By

Briana Rose Lucero is also known on other sites as Crimson Chaos Poetry, Briana Rose or just simply Bri. She has been writing since she was a child.

For the longest time her emotions were silenced until she picked up a pen and found her voice.

Briana was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico in what they call there, the south valley. She has always had a story teller side to her as she would write short stories to pass the day. She would experiment with both poems & stories. Through her stories and poetry Briana released many hidden emotions that she kept buried deep inside. She was able to find some solace and healing through her writing.

Through life there is much pain and to be able to voice it without fear is a beautiful thing.   She had to discover that on her own and she did.  In June of 2009 Briana found comfort in blogging her poetry online. Her site on Myspace was only open to friends and family as she was not aware of the larger community of poets that existed until she finally decided to open the door to courage and changed her profile to public where she began interacting with the poetry community. What she discovered was not only a community flowing with emotions, writing, and talented poets, but she found wonderful friends. Since then Briana has been on a true journey of inspiration and love, leading her down a path that she can fully embrace with two arms.

Currently Briana has published her own book which is available for purchase on Amazon.com. The title is Evolution of Heart, as every day she is evolving. Through her writing she dives deeper and deeper everyday finding a deeper understanding of self. She also likes to dive into the art of spoken word. Briana is still finding her footing in this area but she truly enjoys every minute of it.  Briana Rose Lucero can be found on Reverbnation, Facebook, and Flexwriters Creative Network.

Renard Yearby’s “Rosary Of Denial”

November 28, 2010
By

R. Yearby

Renard Yearby was born a parrot toed, peanut head nerdy boy who had a love for the spoken word at an early age. Renard Yearby began secretly writing sermons and plays; rehearsing his sermons in the style of the Late Bishop C.L. Franklin,R Yearby loved the feeling of power that words, with the right anointing, can do for someone.

RYearby began writing poetry at the age of 11. Years and overflowing notebooks and journals later, Ryearby joined “The Live Poetry Society of Daytona Beach(A poetry group dedicated to free expression) and formed a group of writers known as the 5 Deadly Pens. A group that not only wrote poetry, but short stories and songwriting as well.

RYearby is also known as Bad Boy #2 , one half of the dynamic duo “The Bad Boyz of Poetic Works and The Bad Boyz Kitchen on Blogtalk Radio

RYearby currently resides in Germany, married has one cat and can be found most days writing or sleeping

“Can you imagine Miles Davis playing while sitting back and enjoying lemonade on a Sunny day;
The percussion of Phil Collins memorizing your soul or the
Rhythm of B.B. King pulling at your heart strings as
His poetic flow takes u to universe’ unknown
Taking you thru a poetic history just as in the lines of Pablo Neruda which
causes your mind to make love to his tone
and yet leaving you with a feeling he is still yet… something unknown
Each syllable, each metaphor
Every image that he implants into your memory bank
Awakens your poetic soul
With each drop of his ink to your page
His words caress the blank lines as if it was its first time
Don’t  worry, he shall be gentle as he allows his words  to Caress your intellect.

Charlotte Poetryizme Langston…”Poetic Flows of Renard Yearby”

~~The Track “Rosary of Denial

Inspiration: I was sitting thinking about the games we play the art of love. The moment when a person says that don’t want anything to do with you and every time they see you they deny the love you, the deny that really want you to stay and the other side of the coin..you keep coming back to play the same game, denying that you really want her there,  denying that you want to feel her , touch her and it all seems so religiously  followed. We cling to the denial like rosary beads, we chant the mantra that we will not go back but yet we do…that was my inspiration behind it

Not often but often enough, I tend to use religious events, places, themes in a lot of poetry pieces..You will probably notice quite a bit in this piece
